Are you the hands-on IT Solution Architect that we need?

We regularly embark on a challenging journey to design and implement clients’ application platform of the future. This platform will be robust, reliable, scalable, easily extensible, and will integrate all existing applications. Starting small, but dreaming big, this platform will provide key elements to the application landscape, such as security, identity management, API management, and much more. We are looking for a hands-on Solution Architect to be their captain on this exciting journey. The successful candidate will report to the ICT Manager and work closely with a small team of developers, system administrators, and several external SaaS providers.

The task

As a Solution Architect, you’ll apply your broad knowledge and proven experience regarding integration design, application architecture, and available tools, so you can propose the right solution for the right environment, both in terms of size and complexity. Furthermore, you’ll also use your extensive background in development to come up with a hands-on approach.

You’ll play a key role in several areas, including:

• Design and implementation of a master data repository;
• Design and implementation of the integration layer for existing applications, both in the cloud and on premise;
• Transformation of the core insurance platform;
• Development of a digital channel mobile app;
• Development of cloud-based solutions and multi-tier Architectures.

You have:

• A master’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience;
• At least 5 years’ relevant experience;
• Advanced security and network knowledge;
• Advanced knowledge of web services, REST, SOAP, and JSON;
• A background in ESB and API Gateway implementations, middleware, and messaging;
• Extensive experience in object-oriented programming and design;
• Good knowledge of SQL and database design;
• Experience in the Agile and Waterfall methodology;
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
