Luminis announces today that private equity fund M80 has acquired a majority stake in the company. Together with M80 and the Brussels XPLUS – in which M80 already took a majority stake in April – Luminis has the ambition to become a European full-service provider in digital transformation.
Brussels – September 2nd, 2022 – Luminis announces today that the Belgian private equity fund M80 has acquired a majority stake in the company. M80 offers software and technology company Luminis the opportunity to further expand its strategy and market position internationally. Luminis becomes part of a platform that also includes XPLUS, a Belgian expert in enterprise IT architecture. M80 plans to make further selective acquisitions in Europe in the coming months with the aim of bringing together a portfolio of best-in-class digital transformation specialists.

Luminis is a leader in building ‘cloud-native’ applications and excels in quickly adding value to the user or customer using cloud technology. Optimal use of data is also central to this – for example via the high-performance Luminis product “InformationGrid”, a so-called DaaS solution (Data-as-a-Service) that is used, among other things, as the underlying technology for the leading learning platform in Dutch schools.
After acquiring XPLUS in April 2022, M80 has now taken the next step in its development of a full-service digital transformation provider in Europe. By becoming part of this group of companies, Luminis can accelerate the broadening of its services and products portfolio in the field of digital transformation. Already today, the IT architects of XPLUS are called in to design digital transformations with the software teams of Luminis. Vice versa, Luminis developers quickly and efficiently realize what XPLUS has defined at the drawing board.

Omgekeerd realiseren de ontwikkelaars van Luminis snel en efficiënt wat XPLUS aan de tekentafel heeft bepaald.
