Enterprise IT Architect

Is mapping out complex IT landscapes something you genuinely enjoy? Do you get energy from bringing structure to complexity and translating strategy into concrete architectural direction? Then you might be the Enterprise IT Architect we are looking for.

Description

At xplus, you will play a key role in shaping future-proof IT architectures. Defining clear architectural trajectories, guiding organizations toward their ideal target architecture, and ensuring that this vision gradually becomes reality are only some of the challenges that will keep you engaged and motivated in this role.

As an enterprise IT architect, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a clear overview of the IT landscape across the organization. You translate the strategic vision and long-term ambitions of our business partners into well-defined TO BE architectures that provide direction and coherence.

In doing so, you work closely with Enterprise Business Architects to ensure that business strategy and IT architecture are perfectly aligned. You act as a bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring architectural choices support both current needs and future growth.

As an enterprise IT architect, your responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing the current AS-IS IT landscape and designing multiple architectural trajectories that guide the organization toward the desired TO-BE architecture, considering feasibility, timing, and strategic priorities.
  • Providing clear architectural direction to solution architects, enabling them to design and build solutions that align with the overall enterprise architecture, while remaining open to their feedback and practical needs.
  • Inspiring and advising management by highlighting technological capabilities, emerging trends, and architectural evolutions, and translating these insights into opportunities that support strategic objectives.
  • Contributing to the establishment and continuous improvement of architectural governance at the program level, ensuring consistency, quality, and long-term sustainability across initiatives.

Criteria

You have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience as an Enterprise IT Architect or a proven track record of at least 10 years in IT within a large organization:

  • You play with modelling techniques using industry standard notations (ArchiMate, UML…) and tools (Sparx EA).
  • For you, TOGAF is like a close friend.
  • You have a degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience.
  • You are bitten by technology, and passionate about keeping up-to-date with evolving technologies.
  • If you like to help others grow in your team or our community, we get even more excited about you.
