ICT Solution Architect
As an ICT Solution Architect, you are responsible for designing and delivering scalable, future-proof, and cost-efficient IT solutions aligned with the client’s business strategy. You translate business needs into concrete architectural designs & solutions, whereby you ‘ll need to ensure coherence across applications, data & integrations. Moreover you’ll need to take organizational impact of the designs & solution into account.
Description
You act as a “bridge builder” between various business stakeholders, development teams, and IT operations within customer’s environment on one hand, and with its stakeholders on the other hand. You ensure that solutions comply with architectural guidelines, quality standards, and business requirements.
Your responsibilities will be to:
- Analyze requirements and translate them into end-to-end solution designs
- Develop high-level and detailed architecture designs
- Define solution architecture (applications, integrations & data)
- Govern and implement architectural principles & reference architecture
- Collaborate with and advise teams on implementation of technical decisions/designs
- Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and solutions
- Identify and mitigate technical risks
- Support the development of business cases and project charters resulting from projects
- Document architectural designs and communicate them to stakeholders
- Advise the portfolio manager on prioritization based on technological impact and dependencies

Criteria
- Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent through experience)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT, including several years in solution architecture roles
- Strong knowledge of and experience with ICT architecture and solution design
- Experience with integration patterns (REST, SOAP, messaging, ESB, microservices, etc.)
- Solid understanding and best-practice application of data architecture, data modeling, and data platforms
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven stakeholder management and influencing capabilities
- Strategic mindset combined with strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (ability to align business and IT)
- Result-driven and pragmatic
- Language skills: Dutch (mandatory) and English (optional)
Nice to have:
• 5+ years of work experience with Solution Architecture
• 2+ years of work experience with SOAP
• Authorized to work in Belgium
• 3+ years of work experience with Microservices
